Ravindra Jadeja revealed about his celebration after dismissing Shivam Dube during the IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Jadeja gave an aggressive farewell to Dubey after getting the wicket at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday, March 31.

During the eighth over of CSK’s innings, Dubey attempted to clear a straight boundary against Jadeja. However, the left-handed batsman gave a simple catch to Ravi Bishnoi at long-off. After being dismissed, Jadeja raised his left hand, imitating a gun, and finished it with a “boom” gesture with his mouth.

I used to celebrate this… -Ravindra Jadeja

During the post-match interview with the host broadcaster, Ravindra Jadeja talked about the gesture. Jadeja said he knew Shivam Dube’s batting mentality from practicing together in the Chennai Super Kings nets during the last IPL season.

“I used to do this celebration when I played for CSK, so I thought why not continue it here as well,” Jadeja told JioHotstar.

“I know him for a long time. I was bowling to him in the nets. I know how he thinks and what he wants to do. I was ready for it and tried to bowl outside because I knew he would want to play big shots against me.”

Dubey had hit a powerful six two balls earlier. However, Jadeja had the last laugh, dismissing Dube for just six runs and helping Rajasthan Royals eliminate Chennai Super Kings.

I think pink looks good on me – Ravindra Jadeja

Ahead of IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings traded Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Sanju Samson. Ravindra Jadeja expressed satisfaction on donning the pink jersey again and returning to Rajasthan Royals after 17 years.

“I think the pink color looks good on me. I thought the wicket was a bit sticky and the ball was turning, so I really enjoyed bowling. My job was just to bowl in the right areas and let the pitch do the rest.”

“In cricket you can’t take anything for granted; whatever the target, you have to work hard, play your shots and give your 100 per cent.”

Jadeja started his IPL career in 2008 with Rajasthan Royals under Shane Warne. The left-arm spinner won three IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings under MS Dhoni.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled brilliantly as RR dominated CSK in a one-sided match.

Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets for 18 runs in three overs. CSK’s middle order suffered a blow with his dismissal of Sarfaraz Khan and Shivam Dubey. Joffra Archer and Nandre Berger also bowled brilliantly with the new ball.

Jamie Overton played a good inning of 43 runs in 36 balls, before Chennai Super Kings were reduced to 94 runs for 9 wickets. Overton bowled out Chennai Super Kings for 127 runs.

Chasing the target, Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a blistering inning of 52 runs off just 17 balls to keep RR in control. After his dismissal, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag led the team to victory with eight wickets in 12.1 overs. Berger received the Player of the Match award.
