A war of words has started between former Team India cricketer Akash Chopra and a net user on social media platform ‘X’. The ‘X’ profile named ‘Gharkachirag’ advises Chopra to use his cricket knowledge only in commentary.
Aakash Chopra did not shy away from replying to the net user. While defending his comments on the social media platform, he says ‘Gharkachirag’ to avoid dirty words next time.
Aakash Chopra reveals some interesting facts about MI vs KKR IPL 2026 match
Analyzing the Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders (MI vs KKR) match, Aakash Chopra highlighted some important parts of KKR’s batting and MI’s bowling.
On March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium, KKR came out to bat first and posted an impressive score of 220, which was not enough to beat the home team. Regardless of the outcome of the match, the former cricketer revealed some exciting statistics of KKR’s batting.
Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen took Knight Rider’s run rate skyrocketing in the powerplay. Chopra was surprised to see that he did not score a single run from the off-side in the first 5 overs.
“And KKR didn’t score a single run from the off-side in the first 5 overs. And they were cruising. Can’t remember any other such 5-over phase in recent T20s,” Aakash Chopra wrote on his ‘X’ post.
In the same post, he also mentioned that Mumbai Indians used only two of their bowlers for 2 consecutive overs. Captain Hardik Pandya himself came to bowl the second and fourth overs and after scoring 18 runs, he handed the ball to Jasprit Bumrah.th and 20th Over.
“Only two bowlers bowled back-to-back overs for MI. That too – 2 overs spell. Boom and hearty. 2-4 runs for Hardik. 18-20th position for Boom,” he said.
Two interesting things to note in tomorrow’s first innings.

A cricket fan used abusive words to criticize Chopra
For some unknown reason, these statistics provided by Chopra upset the above mentioned net user so much that he commented using abusive words.
The comment reads, “Abe, I am giving all this knowledge in the commentary, so everyone tells their own stories.”
In response, Chopra said that he explained the facts using graphics to make the claims appear authentic.
Chopra hit back at the net user and said, “Explain both things well. Show them with graphics too. Complete discussion and dissection. But brother, the rest of the house is a lamp…maybe, use a little better language.”
Explained both things well. Also visible through graphics. Full on discussion and dissection.
But brother, you bring one.

Other cricket fans also joined in this heated argument
Chopra gets some support during the war of words. A cricket fan supported Chopra, saying, “It has become a routine now. Everyone started targeting the commentators.”
In a warm gesture, Chopra further said that while social media platforms are for expressing opinions, some do so to attract additional attention. But he believes that good work gets recognition.
Chopra replied to thank the cricket fan, “I didn’t know Telugu had to face this too. But that’s okay. People have their opinions. Platforms exist to express. Some people even jump on these trends for views. But in the long run, good work deserves recognition. Thank you for your kind words.”
