Gujarat Titans (GT) Enter IPL 2026 with a balanced schedule that includes a challenging start, strong home advantage and important strategic phases throughout the season. Their campaign will begin with the second match on March 31 Punjab Kings (PBKS) At Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh. This opening match, starting at 7:30 pm, will immediately test the Titans against a competitive side in unfamiliar conditions.
After the opener, the focus quickly shifts to their home base – the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. GT will play seven matches at the venue, which has become a fort for the franchise over the years. Their first home match will be against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 4, which will be followed by a busy and important home match in late April and early May. During this time, they will compete with top teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). This run of home games could play a decisive role in shaping their campaign, as strong performances in familiar conditions often build momentum and confidence.
On the leadership front, Shubman Gill As captain, he is guiding the team with a mix of youth and experience. He will be supported by head coach Ashish Nehra, with Matthew Hayden joining the setup as batting coach. The team itself looks strong and all-round with the presence of match-winners like Rashid Khan, Jos Buttler, Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rahul Tewatia.
With the league stage running from March 28 to May 24, GT has a clear opportunity to build momentum through its domestic fixtures while managing major challenges. If they can strike the right balance and maintain consistency, they will once again be among the favorites for the IPL 2026 playoffs.
