Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah made a controversial post about Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz invited as the guest of honor at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Pakistani cricketer was embroiled in a feud with the government after an attack on his home. He has now made derogatory remarks on the Pakistani minister, who is also the daughter of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif.
Naseem Shah’s controversial post on CM Maryam Nawaz
During the opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Pakistan Super League, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi welcomed Punjab Province Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif as the guest of honor at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Maryann was present in the stadium during the match and also met the cricketers before the start of the game. He was also introduced to the franchise owners. During one such incident, Naseem Shah made a post on his ex’s account, which created a big controversy.
The post shows a video in which the PCB chief is seen greeting CM Maryam. The now deleted message read, “Why is she being treated like the Queen of Lords?”
However, after the incident, the post was quickly removed, and Naseem Shah issued a clarification stating that the post was not intentional and his account was tampered with.
He wrote, “This account of Naseem was recently hacked but has now been successfully recovered.”

Hyderabad Kingsmen first confirmed that the umpires had no problem with the Hyderabad Kingsmen using the same kit. Lahore Qalandars fast bowler Haris Rauf claimed that the ball might have picked up color from the seats or stands.
Speaking after the game, Rauf said, “I am not sure who changed the ball.” “We can’t figure out whether it was because of the kit or not. It could also be because of the seats, because the ball flew out of the ground several times.
He said, “As long as the batsman kept seeing the ball clearly, he batted. When it became difficult to pick, he would have changed it. If I had gone to the crease to bat, I would have changed it on the first ball.”

Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah will be seen playing for Rawalpindi in the 2026 Pakistan Super League. He became the most expensive Pakistani player in the PSL 2026 auction after being bought for PKR 8.65 crore.
Islamabad United progressed from a playoff-qualified team in PSL 2025 after being selected as the highest-paid cricketer in the PSL auction. He will be seen playing in the same team with players like Mohammad Rizwan, Daryl Mitchell and Mohammad Aamir.
He will lead the pace attack for the Pindies in the 2026 season of the Pakistan Super League. They will play their first match against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday, March 28 at the same Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
