India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill may have lost his place in the T20 team, but he remains one of the key pillars of Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shubman Gill is expected to lead the batting charge for the franchise in the upcoming IPL 2026.
While all the focus will be on Gill, we predict that they are three players who can contribute significantly to the success of the Gujarat team this season. GT’s 2025 season ended in the eliminator, but they are now keen to make a stronger impression with a balanced and more confident lineup.
3 players can take GT to IPL 2026 glory
As Gujarat Titans are set to begin their IPL 2026 campaign against Punjab Kings on March 31 at New Chandigarh, Sai Sudarshan, Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna could be the X-factors that can propel the franchise to their second title this year.

Sai Sudarshan
Sai Sudarshan has become the backbone of GT’s batting. Last season, he won the Orange Cap for being the leading run-scorer in the tournament (759 runs). Sai’s calm approach, ability to play long innings and hold one end makes him an irreplaceable player for the franchise.
His left-handed batting also gives Gujarat Titans an opportunity to form a left-right opening pair with Gill. He is also a player in big matches. Sai has more than 1700 runs in his name in 40 IPL matches so far.
Rashid Khan
Afghanistan spin wizard and captain Rashid Khan may not have had the best season last season, but everyone knows what he is capable of. He is still one of the most dangerous spinners in T20 cricket.
When the team needs success, the leg spinner is the player at the forefront. His googlies are very difficult to read and he bowls at fast pace, making it difficult for batsmen to attack him. The wicket-taking spinner has become a dangerous finisher who can hit big sixes and turn the match in no time.
Rashid is one of the all-time successful spinners of the IPL, having taken 158 wickets in 136 matches at an impressive economy rate of 7.09. Now, he will be keen to make a significant impact for GT.
Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna has become the leader of GT’s fast bowling attack. The Indian fast bowler won the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets in the last season with 25 wickets. He was particularly dangerous in the death overs, taking the most wickets in that phase.
He bowls at good pace and bowls at difficult lengths, making it difficult for the batsmen to attack him. He is their main strike weapon in the league. Along with Mohammed Siraj, he forms a strong fast bowling attack for Gujarat Titans. Both balls above 145 kmph will be major assets in the upcoming IPL 2026.
Krishna has played 32 matches so far and has taken 74 wickets in 66 IPL matches at an average of 29.61 and an economy rate of 8.77. GT is expected to deliver the same kind of performance that he delivered with the ball last season as he aims for his second IPL trophy this season.
