Former India keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik and squash star Deepika Pallikal have revealed the name of their third child. An announcement came via an Instagram post on March 19. From the official account of Dinesh Karthik.
The couple welcomed their third child, Raha Pallikal Karthik, with an emotional message on social media. This is their third child after Kabir and Gian.

Dinesh and Deepika shared the message in their Instagram post, “With blessings in our hearts and gratitude beyond words, we happily welcome our precious daughter into this world. Kabir and Gian are thrilled to introduce their little sister Raha Pallikal Karthik. Love, Deepika and Dinesh.”
Dinesh Karthik and Deepika Pallikal welcomed their twins in 2021 after getting married in traditional Hindu and Christian wedding customs on August 25, 2015.
Dinesh Karthik had a great career
Karthik, the former Team India keeper-batsman who represented the team in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T20Is, had quite an eventful international career with the Men in Blue. In as many Test matches, he scored 1025 runs, in T20Is his total number of runs was 686 and in ODI matches, this versatile batsman scored a total of 1752 runs.
He did good work for many franchises in the Indian Premier League as well. After playing for 6 different IPL teams which were Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Lions, he scored 4842 runs in 257 matches.
After retiring from his professional cricket career, Karthik transformed himself into a renowned commentator and cricket expert. His stint as batting coach with Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2025 helped the team dominate and claim their first IPL trophy.
He currently continues in the same role ahead of the IPL 2026 season. Under the guidance of head coach Andy Flower and bowling coach Omkar Salvi, RCB is gearing up to defend their hard-earned title.
The team’s support staff includes Richard Halsall as assistant coach, Mallolan Rangarajan as spin bowling coach and player identification manager and Basu Shankar as strength and conditioning coach. As team physio, he has appointed Ivan Speechly and James Pipe as team doctors; Dr. Shikha Dhoundiyal is there and Navneeta Gautam is working as an athletic therapist.
Deepika Pallikal won gold medal in mixed doubles
If we talk about Deepika Pallikal, she is one of the most prestigious squash players in the country. Deepika last participated in the Hangzhou Asian Games in October 2023, where she won the gold medal in mixed doubles. She achieved this feat after returning from maternity leave in early 2022. The same year, following her comeback, she won two titles at the World Doubles Squash Championships and earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
