“In our time it was the opposite. Two or three would sleep and the rest would party. Sachin paaji would sleep early, Rahul Dravid too sometimes. Ganguly would always be in the room. We would sometimes put pressure on Rahul Dravid. Like if it was a big series, like we beat Pakistan in Pakistan under his captaincy, it was my first overseas series. That day, we all enjoyed together,” Sreesanth on ‘cheeky singles’ Said.

Rahul Dravid bhai dances very well – S Sreesanth

Sreesanth made a shocking revelation about Rahul Dravid. He revealed that Dravid has impressive dancing skills, a talent that is unknown to the general cricket public, who mainly remember his calm, focused and disciplined on-field batting behaviour.

“Rahul bhai dances very well. Of course I am there, there is no one like me.”

Both cricketers shared the dressing room in many environments during their professional careers. Apart from India, they also played together in domestic franchise cricket.

Both players represented Rajasthan Royals during the 2012 and 2013 tournament seasons before concluding their respective professional cricket careers.

I wasn’t invited to the party, but I went… – S Sreesanth

S Sreesanth also shared a funny incident where he deliberately broke a gate at a festival. After the inaugural 2008 final between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, he attended the post-match party despite not receiving an official invitation from the tournament organisers.

Sreesanth said, “In 2008, there was a party after the final between Rajasthan and Chennai. I was not invited to the party, but I went to get the Purple Cap or something. Shane Warne and other legends were having a party, so I also went. I went because I thought that if Tanvir had not taken wickets, I would have got the Purple Cap.”

Sreesanth missed out on winning the prestigious bowling award in 2008. Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir finished as the leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets, while Sreesanth finished his campaign with 19 wickets.

Under the tactical guidance of Shane Warne, Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious during the inaugural season. Sreesanth thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to mingle with such eminent personalities.
