Indian cricket fans were left shocked and amazed when a surprising moment brought two old rivals together. Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar have finally turned their famous “bits and pieces” feud into a hilarious collaboration for Samsung.
For years, Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar’s social media controversy has been remembered as one of the most dramatic off-field moments in Indian cricket history.

But now, India’s current star all-rounder and former Indian cricketer turned commentator have joined hands in a funny advertisement for the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the result has made fans laugh out loud on the social media platform.

The ad starts with Sanjay Manjrekar talking about the talent and execution in his typical commentary style. When Ravindra Jadeja was sitting at a distance at the same table, the commentator said, “There is a lot of talent. But the execution is in bits and pieces.”
Soon after, the Indian all-rounder entered and focused on the smart features of the phone like Galaxy AI and special privacy display. This triggered a playful exchange where Jadeja started taking funny pictures of Manjrekar while mimicking the commentary moments.

The funniest part comes when Ravindra Jadeja used the phone’s AI feature to jokingly send Manjrekar to Antarctica in a picture. Soon the phone screen was filled with notifications and Manjrekar was confused and curious to know about those notifications.
But the former Indian batsman struggled to see them as Jadeja had activated the privacy display mode on the device. As Manjrekar questioned him about the “Defender” and said that his phone couldn’t do that, Jadeja gave a cheeky reply while showcasing the special capabilities of the phone.
Twirling his distinctive moustache, Jadeja said, “Bits and pieces, leave the AI phone, brother.”

Even Jadeja posted this ad on his social media handle with a catchy caption: “2019 was the year the ‘bits and pieces’ cricket debate ended. 2026 could be the year we settle the “bits and pieces” smartphone debate. Looks like Mr. @sanjaymanjrekar and I are back at it.”

‘Bits and Pieces’ controversy
This collaboration reminded fans of their famous clash during the 2019 ICC World Cup in England. At the time, Manjrekar had sparked a major debate by describing Jadeja as a “bits and pieces” player while criticizing his performance in the tournament.
“I am not a big fan of players playing in bits and pieces, as Jadeja is at this stage of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would prefer to have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar was quoted as saying by Times of India at the time.
Jadeja also did not hold back and criticized the commentator’s comment, making the incident one of the most talked about controversies of that World Cup.
He had said, “Still, I have played twice as many matches as you have played, and I am still playing. Learn to respect people who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea. @SanjayManJarekar.”
