Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin has congratulated the Indian team on their consecutive T20 World Cup wins and also claimed that India, with their recent form, looks to be an unbeatable team against all opponents until they start playing poorly themselves. The former captain said, “The Indian team is strong, there is depth in both bowling and batting and their fielding has also improved. In some matches, they have taken some excellent catches and such moments of fielding make a big difference. If India continues to play like they have, it will be very difficult for any team to beat them, unless India themselves play badly.”

Sanju Samson also played match-winning innings in the last three matches and scored half-centuries in three consecutive matches for the Men in Blue. Sanju Samson scored 321 runs, the most by an Indian in a T20 World Cup edition.
When asked about Sanju Samson’s performance, the captain said, “He (Sanju Samson) was not performing as per the expectations of the people in India or those who select the team. Now, he has matured a lot. It took him time to understand that you have to stay on the wicket to score runs, if you don’t do that, you cannot score runs.”
“The last three games have shown that he has worked very hard and I am very happy for him. He has a lot of time to make shots and a lot of talent,” he said.

India will start preparations for ICC World Cup 2027
India’s next assignment will be the ICC World Cup 2027, which will be held under completely different circumstances.
