Perth Scorchers’ Big Bash-winning captain Ashton Turner has been appointed captain of the Multan Sultans team ahead of the upcoming PSL season in 2026.
The upcoming season of Pakistan Super League will see two new teams join the competition and Sialkot Stallions have been renamed Multan Sultans. They have also revealed their captain for the upcoming season.
Due to ICC T20 World Cup 2026, PSL is clashing with IPL window this time too. It will start from March 26 and will continue during a major phase of the IPL.
Multan Sultans announce captain for PSL 2026
Australian T20 cricket veteran Ashton Turner has been chosen as the new captain of the Multan Sultans team. He was the captain of the Perth Scorchers team that won the 2026 Big Bash League.
Turner is an experienced BBL player and has led his team Scorchers to three titles. His first win as a captain came in 2021–22 and again in the next season 2022–23. Turner will be seen leading a team in PSL for the first time.
Despite brilliant performance in the World Cup, Sahibzada Farhan was ignored for captaincy.
