Jasprit Bumrah bowls an extraordinary spell in a high-scoring thriller

The Wankhede Stadium provided a lull and a belt of wickets, where almost every bowler was taken to the cleaners. Sent in to bat first, India made a mammoth score of 253/7, but England presented a very tough challenge. Jacob Bethel scored 105 runs off 48 balls, but they finished on 246/7.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled exceptionally and economically. He returned impressive figures of 1/33 from his four overs at an economy of 8.2. He also took the important wicket of England captain Harry Brook.

While chasing the target, England needed 48 runs in the last three overs. However, Bumrah bowled the crucial 18th over under immense pressure and conceded just six runs.

Jasprit Bumrah will next be back in action when the Men in Blue take on New Zealand in the final to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8. The star pacer has taken 10 wickets in seven matches at an incredible average of 15.90 and an economy of 6.62.
