Unfortunately for England, Brook could not make up for the mistake himself. I made a big mistake: England captain
Harry Brook said in the post-match presentation, “I’ll hold my hands up and say that I made a huge mistake by dropping Samson. Catches win matches, don’t they? Unfortunately, it wasn’t in my hands… Obviously, it’s in the back of your mind. I kept looking at the scoreboard, and he was scoring runs. I was like, ‘I’ve got to score 89 tonight.'”
Axar was not done there. The Indian all-rounder later again showed incredible fielding skills when Will Jacks looked dangerous during a strong partnership with centurion Jacob Bethel. The Indian all-rounder crossed the boundary quickly and helped Dube complete a brilliant relay catch.
