Axar Patel took one of the most spectacular catches in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026. He started running from inside the circle and took the catch in front of the boundary rope. Patel threw his body and extended his arms to catch the ball.
The landing was hard, the hands hit the ground too hard, and the Axar was in motion for a while. Incredible catch in a pressure game like a semi-final. England captain Harry Brook had to leave. Jasprit Bumrah found his partner early in the second innings, however, Axar Patel deserved most of the credit.

The England captain wanted to send the ball over cover to clear the boundary rope. But Jasprit Bumrah was so smart that he sensed the batsman’s move in advance. The fast bowler reduced the pace of the ball and pitched it around the off stump, slightly away from the right-handed batsman. Before the ball reached the arch, the batsman was already on the back foot, and he swung the bat too early.
One hand left the handle of the bat and the ball went into the air. Akshar Patel, who was positioned inside the ring, locked his target while covering a lot of ground to catch the ball.
