Ahead of the India vs England semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans got an encouraging update. The franchise has informed that they will play at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the upcoming IPL 2026 season.

In the upcoming season, RCB will compete as the defending champion. Ahead of the tournament, there were some hurdles for the franchises to arrange their Indian Premier League matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium after last year’s tragic incident. Karnataka’s cricket governing body was in active touch with the state government to allow the team to host IPL 2026 matches at its home ground.

RCB has issued an official statement ahead of the IPL 2026 season.

A few days ago news came that the government has given permission to organize matches on the ground. The permission also came with some guidelines. Fans were eagerly waiting for an official statement from the franchise as RCB’s future at the venue remained uncertain.

On March 3, it was informed that RCB will play 5 matches of the upcoming IPL season in Mumbai. Chinnaswamy Stadium. And some of their matches are expected to be held in Raipur.
