Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq has set social media on fire after his cheeky “second marriage” joke in a live television show has already become a massive talking point.
Recently, Abdul Razzaq appeared on ARY Digital’s show hosted by Nida Yasir, and he was sitting right next to his wife Ayesha, and the simple discussion turned into spicy headline material.
Abdul Razzaq’s TV jokes created a huge discussion!
Ayesha candidly told how she managed the entire house when Razzaq was busy with his tours. From children’s school work and parent-child meetings to groceries and daily household pressures, she handled everything single-handedly while Razzaq focused on his career.

And then came the explosive turn. Razzaq jokingly said that perhaps he should remarry so that his wife could get some help with her workload. He joked, “I’ve told her many times that I could get married again; it would lighten your workload because you’re doing so much.”
Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim’s drama
The studio erupted in laughter, but the former Pakistani cricketer’s comment instantly caught the world’s attention. The topic has become even more sensitive as Pakistan cricket has recently seen high-profile remarriages. Shoaib Malik surprises fans with his third marriage in 2024.
And recently, Imad Wasim also made headlines last week with his second marriage in February 2026. And this is why Abdul Razzaq’s light comment did not seem so light to many viewers. Athletes are role models and millions of fans follow their lifestyle, their words and their behavior.
Debate broke out over joke of second marriage
Therefore, mocking such sensitive topics on public television raises questions about the message being sent. The shocking thing is that during the show, when the hosts asked Razzaq’s wife about the surprise given by him, the former cricketer said, “Nida is asking whether I have ever given a surprise by marrying her for the second time.”
