How did Pakistan reach Super 8 stage?
Pakistan’s journey to the second round secured with the opener’s brilliant performance against Namibia. Sahebzada Farhan Scored an unbeaten 100 off 58 balls – also his third century in the ongoing T20 World Cup after Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka and Canada’s Yuvraj Samra.

Pakistan’s bowling attack, led by mystery spinners Usman Tariq (4/16) and Shadab Khan (3/19), bowled out Namibia for just 97 runs and won by 102 runs. The win followed previous successes against the United States and the Netherlands, with the only blemish being a 61-run defeat to arch-rivals India on 15 February.
Qualification scenario for semi-finals
In the Super 8 stage, each team plays three matches – one against every other side in its group. No points are carried forward from the group stage, meaning each match starts afresh. The top two teams from Group 2 will advance to the semi-finals to be held on March 4 and 5.
If Pakistan qualifies for the semi-finals, their match will be played on March 4 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
