The top moment for Ajinkya Rahane was cutting Sachin Tendulkar off the bowling of Shoaib Akhtar in the 2003 World Cup match, which went for six runs. It has been an iconic moment all these years. With the help of Tendulkar’s 98 runs in front of Pakistan’s aggressive attack, India once again won the match by 6 wickets.
Iconic India vs Pakistan Moments
The top pick for Dinesh Karthik was Virat Kohli’s backfoot six to Haris Rauf in the 2022 T20 World Cup group stage match. This is one of the best innings ever played by the former India captain, as India’s chances of victory were 3.1% when Axar Patel lost his wicket.
He turned the tables and single-handedly won the game for the Men in Blue at the prestigious Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. When 28 runs were needed from 8 balls, Kohli brought the match back in India’s favor by hitting Rauf for two consecutive sixes. Karthik was present in the dressing room and got the live experience of Kohli’s sixes and innings.
Ajinkya Rahane, however, chose his favorite India vs Pakistan moment from the match, ignoring Kohli’s six, as he felt that Ravichandran Ashwin’s leave down the leg side, which was taken wide by Mohammad Nawaz, was the best moment from the game. When Karthik was praising Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane also had a strange reaction.
