The ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has already started to shake up the player rankings, with several stars making significant progress after the initial round of matches. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has achieved the biggest feat by regaining the crown of No. 1 all-rounder in T20I cricket.

A total of 20 teams have been divided into four groups. Australia is the only team to start its campaign in the T20 World Cup. New Zealand opener Tim Seifert is the leading run-scorer with 154 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 183.33. USA’s Shadley Van Schalkwyk has taken 8 wickets in two matches.

Sikandar Raza achieved top position among all-rounders

Sikandar Raza has been rewarded for his match-winning performance in his team’s T20 World Cup opener against Oman. Raza bowled a disciplined spell of 1/17 in his four overs to restrict Oman to just 103 runs and later returned with the winning runs.

Raza jumped one place to overtake Pakistan opener Sam Ayub and regain the No. 1 spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings. The Zimbabwe captain had previously held the top spot until the end of 2025.

Saim Ayub slipped to second place, while India’s Hardik Pandya remained at third place. Ayub has scored 43 runs in two matches at an average of 21.50 and strike rate of 136.08. The off spinner has taken two wickets with the ball.

Sahibzada Farhan reaches top 3; Big achievement for Ishan Kishan

The batting charts have seen a lot of movement inside the top 10 after the latest update. Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has retained his position at the top of the batting charts. Abhishek Sharma has maintained his lead over Phil Salt of England.

Pakistan’s opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan led the way among the batsmen and jumped four places to reach a career-best third position. Farhan played a stormy innings of 73 runs in 41 balls against America, which laid the foundation for Pakistan’s victory.

Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan made a huge jump of seven places and reached 25th position in the rankings. Thanks to his unbeaten 48-run innings against Oman, Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett moved up two places to a career-best 19th position and Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis moved up six places to 12th.

Wanindu Hasaranga enters top 5; Arshdeep Singh out of top 10

Team India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty has retained the number 1 position and has maintained his lead over Pakistan’s spinner Abrar Ahmed. Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga moved up one place to fifth, the only change in the top 10.

Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has moved up three places to reach the top 10 at 11th position. Pakistan bowler Salman Mirza has jumped nine places to 13th position, while Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans has jumped 16 places to joint 15th position.

New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner (up four places to 19th) and Scotland’s Bradley Currie, who jumped 25 places to 24th, also made significant progress after the opening round.
