Young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi made headlines during the celebrations after Team India’s ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 victory on Friday, February 6. In a viral video, Kishore joked about not understanding Punjabi songs and instead opted for Bhojpuri vibes, winning the hearts of fans.

India won a record sixth Under-19 World Cup title with a spectacular win over England at the Harare Sports Club. Suryavanshi scored 175 runs in 80 balls, which included 15 fours and 15 sixes. India scored a huge score of 411 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs and England were bowled out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs, ensuring India’s victory by 100 runs.

India dominated England in the title match of Under-19 World Cup 2026. Suryavanshi scored 175 runs in 80 balls with the help of 15 fours and 15 sixes and took complete control of the match with fearless but mature batting.

The 14-year-old left-handed batsman scored at a brisk pace from the start and handled both pace and spin with ease. He showed strong game awareness by cleverly rotating the strike and punishing loose balls on the biggest stage.

When India’s score was 251/3 in the 26th over, the young player was finally caught out by England captain Thomas Reeve off the bowling of Manny Lumsden. By then the damage was done and India scored a mammoth score of 411/9 in 50 overs.

England tried to chase the target with contributions from Ben Dawkins (66) and Caleb Faulkner (115 off 67 balls). Faulkner was the last batsman out, leaving England all out for 311 in 40.2 overs, giving India a stunning 100-run win and the title.

Suryavanshi said that he supported his instinct to perform on the big stage. The 14-year-old player said that the team remained calm and did not put extra pressure. He focused on what worked for him throughout the tournament, followed his process and played his natural game.

“I was confident in my skills that I can contribute in big matches and that’s what happened today,” Suryavanshi said in the post-match presentation.

“We were not taking too much pressure. We just thought that we have done well in the tournament, we will just follow our process and play our natural game,” he said.
