Indian all-rounder Deepak Chahar mercilessly trolled Pakistan’s star batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan through an Instagram video. Through the video, the Indian all-rounder made fun of the training of Pakistani cricketers, which went viral.
Even before the start of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan cricket is making headlines mostly for the wrong reasons. They have threatened to boycott their much-awaited India vs Pakistan 2026 T20 World Cup group stage match to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on February 15. Pakistan cricket remains in the headlines mostly because of the controversial stance taken by its government.
It was a difficult time for Babar Azam
Pakistan’s superstar batsman Babar Azam often manages to make his place on social media platforms. A week ago he was performing poorly for Sydney Sixers in a Big Bash League (BBL) match. Despite all the hype, the veteran batsman remained mostly cold in the BBL 2025-26 season, his debut BBL season.
Like Azam, Mohammad Rizwan also performed poorly with the bat for Melbourne Renegades. Actually, Rizwan’s figures were weak compared to Babar Azam. A section of cricket fans mercilessly trolled him due to his shameful performance with their respective franchises. Amidst all the memes and trolling, a video of Azam and Rizwan went viral on social media platforms.
The viral video captured the moment when Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were warming up during the practice session. There is not enough clarity about the video. From this single footage it is very difficult to tell when the video was shot or what match they were preparing for.
Deepak Chahar trolled Azam and Rizwan fiercely
Apart from Deepak Chahar, the Indian men’s national football team also trolled Azam and Rizwan over a separate video of Team India goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. There were some other footballers also in the video.
Deepak Chahar along with his two friends trolled Pakistani star cricketers regarding their warm-up exercises. Chahar wrote in his caption, “Ab se yahan warm-up hoga” (For now, this will be the warm-up). It was also written on the video, “IPL preparations begin with the legendary warm-up.”
Deepak Chahar will play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026
Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar is confirmed to play for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2026 IPL season, after a moderate stint with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), with the franchise retaining him for Rs 9.25 crore. After leaving CSK, the swing bowler was picked up by MI to strengthen their fast bowling department, where he will play alongside Jasprit Bumrah.
Pakistan will begin its T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on February 7, the opening day of the tournament. In the first match, Pakistan will face Netherlands. Babar Azam is in the team, while Mohammad Rizwan has not been selected in the team for the elite tournament.
