Jack Edwards surprised everyone with his brilliant fielding in the Big Bash League 2025-26 (BBL 2025-26) final between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers at the Perth Stadium in Perth.
In the 9th over of Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers’ senior fast bowler Mitchell Starc bowled a full ball outside the off stump to Finn Allen. The New Zealander drove hard but did not keep the shot low. The ball quickly went towards the extra cover area.

Jack Edwards reacted quickly, as he jumped to his right, extended his arm into the air and made an incredible catch while in the air. The ball was going very fast, but Edwards timed his jump and held it as Allen walked back to the dugout after scoring 36 runs from 22 balls.

Even though this wicket came a little late for the Sixers, the catch taken by Edwards was absolutely amazing, certainly one of the best catches in the Big Bash League.
