Glenn Phillips has been the all-rounder for New Zealand in recent times as he scored his second century in a high-pressure game against India in Indore. Phillips has performed well for the Blackcaps, be it with the bat, the ball or on the field.
India may have started the series with a confident win, but they soon suffered a major blow with a defeat in the second game. With the series tied, both India and New Zealand needed to get ahead of the others right from the start of the innings.

Glenn Phillips scores second ODI century under pressure in Indore
New Zealand struggled at the start of their innings, as both openers were out within the first two overs of the game. After his dismissal, Will Young and Daryl Mitchell put on a half-century partnership to take the powerplay forward for the Kiwis.
When Phillips came to bat, India were 58/3 and were struggling from a poor start. The pressure was maintained due to tight bowling and excellent fielding efforts by the Indian bowlers.
However, Phillips did not succumb to the pressure and batted well to see out that phase before piling on the runs with Daryl Mitchell. Phillips scored his second century in ODI cricket and played his role exceptionally well.
Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj finally gave India the crucial breakthrough
After a massive 200-run partnership between Phillips and centurion Daryl Mitchell, Arshdeep Singh returned to give India a much-needed breakthrough, but by then the damage was done.
Singh dismissed Phillips with a wide and full delivery which was caught behind the wicket on a weak edge, and the dangerous Phillips had to withdraw after an explosive century.
Mohammed Siraj returned much later with his final spell and dismissed Daryl Mitchell with a slower bumper which was eventually caught low in the deep by Kuldeep Yadav.
