Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s fear outweighed Mumbai’s thrilling victory!
Well, Mumbai faced trouble early on after being asked to bat first against Uttarakhand. Mumbai lost two wickets early and were reduced to just 22/2 inside the powerplay. With the top order struggling, the responsibility of steadying the innings fell on Musheer Khan and his brother Sarfaraz.
The duo showed great composure and stitched a crucial 107-run partnership for the third wicket, taking Mumbai out of danger and giving the much-needed stability to the innings. However, Uttarakhand continued to fight. Mumbai soon slipped again, losing wickets at regular intervals and found themselves at 133/4.
Siddhesh Lad and wicketkeeper Hardik Tamore together brought the team back into the game by adding 53 runs for the fifth wicket. After Lad was dismissed by Devendra Singh Bora, Tamore continued to take charge of the innings. After this, he made a useful partnership of 44 runs with captain Shardul Thakur and took Mumbai closer to a strong score.
