Latest reports from Pakistani media have revealed that ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi is once again heading to Dubai to be a part of the presentation ceremony of the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, in which India and Pakistan will play in the final.

Mohsin Naqvi, the current chairman of PCB and Asian Cricket Council (ACC), is once again going to Dubai to attend the final match between India Under-19 and Pakistan Under-19. The chairman is guilty of many acts against the Indian team.

Naqvi has often not performed his duties as president of the neutral body, as when India were the winners of the Senior Men’s Asia Cup 2025, he flew with the Asia Cup trophy and refused to accept the trophy from them. He has not yet handed over the trophy to champion India.

Will Mohsin Naqvi be part of the Under-19 Asia Cup presentation ceremony?

According to the latest reports from Geo News in Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi is scheduled to watch the final match of the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup and then fly to Dubai to felicitate the tournament winners.

The PCB chief looked proud and excited while handing over the Rising Stars Asia Cup trophy to Pakistan and the same was expected of him in the men’s Senior Asia Cup. As of now, the presentation is once again expected to be presided over by the ACC Chairman and this is where another big controversy may emerge.

The Indian Under-19 team will be looking to secure the ACC Men’s Under-19 title, and if they win the trophy and refuse to accept it from the ACC President, it could lead to another major row between the BCCI and Mohsin Naqvi.

India Under-19 continues its senior team’s legacy of indifference in Asia Cup

The young Indian team has carried forward the same legacy as its senior men’s team. India Under-19 have also refused to shake hands with the rival nation, starting with Suryakumar Yadav refusing to shake hands with Salman Aga during their first encounter in the Asia Cup group stage.

Both teams have continued their indifference, and India have not taken part in any post-match activities or friendly exchanges between cricketers. However, on the personal front, some heart-touching scenes saw an Indian cricketer lace up a Pakistani batsman.

If India wins, they may continue to be denied the trophy by the ACC Chairman. When Mohsin Naqvi took the podium, Suryakumar Yadav’s team refused to participate in the post-match presentation.

India Under-19 will have to chase a big target to win the Under-19 Asia Cup title

Pakistan Under-19 had lost against India Under-19 last time out as they failed to chase down the small target of 241. However, batting first this time, the Pakistanis have set a huge target for the Indians.

Sameer Minhas once again performed brilliantly with the bat and scored 172 runs off just 113 balls, while he was supported in the middle order by Ahmed Hussain and Usman Khan. Pakistan made a challenging score of 347 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.

For any of the above situations to happen, the Indian Under-19 team will have to chase a mammoth target of 348 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi will have to play a big role along with captain Ayush Mhatre, Aaron George and double centurion Vihaan Malhotra.
