As for the strategy, the proposal suggested that foreign players travel to Saudi Arabia to play domestic games and then complete the legal citizenship process to represent the Saudi Arabia national cricket team. Bangladesh was one of the many countries he contacted.
BCB rejected Saudi Arabia’s proposal
BCB President, Aminul Islam has rejected the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation’s offer to send players and coaches who can eventually complete the legal formalities and become part of the Saudi Arabian national team.

“You can say they (Saudi Arabia) approached me two months ago and I declined,” BCB president Aminul Islam confirmed to Cricbuzz on Saturday.
He said, “They asked us for players – both male and female players, and then they asked for coaches, but how can I provide them at the cost of my country’s interests?”
