India vs Pakistan match on the first day of Womens Asia Cup

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has made changes to the schedule of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024. Now India will face Pakistan on the very first day of Asia Cup on 19th July. Teams Nepal and UAE will open the tournament in the afternoon game on the same day, while the match between India and Pakistan will take place in the evening.

Both these matches were earlier scheduled to take place on July 21. According to that schedule, Nepal and Pakistan were to play the first match, while the second match was to be between India vs UAE. Apart from these two matches, the rest of the program will remain the same.

This tournament will run from 19 to 28 July and all the matches will be played in Dambulla. This time it will be an eight-team tournament, which includes one additional team compared to last year. In the previous edition, all the teams played against each other. But this time it is not happening. This year they have been divided into two groups. Group A consists of teams from India, Nepal, Pakistan and UAE, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand along with hosts Sri Lanka. The top two teams from each group will play the semi-finals, which will be held on 26 July. The final will be played on 28 July.

 

The tournament was last held in 2022, where India defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the final. defeated Was. India has been the most successful team of this tournament. He has won this title 7 times. India will first play matches against Pakistan and UAE on 19 and 21 July. After this, their match is with Nepal on 23rd July.

 

Like the previous edition, in this year’s tournament too all umpires and match officials will be women only.
