India’s national cricket team’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy is known for his calm nature and he is not the kind of person who bids farewell to the batsmen after dismissing them.
However, a different version of Varun Chakravarthy was seen during the second T20I between the India national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
Varun Chakraborty clean bowled Aiden Markram in the second T20 match.
Chakravarthy has emerged as India’s go-to strike bowler in T20I cricket, and many former cricketers have placed him in the same position as Jasprit Bumrah in the shorter formats of the game.
The mystery spinner is currently the No. 1-ranked bowler in the ICC T20I rankings, and he once again showed why he is the best with his performance in the second game against the Proteas.
Varun Chakravarthy took a wicket on the very first ball he bowled in the match and then registered figures of 4-0-29-2 on a batting-friendly track.
During the innings, he also had a heated argument with South African captain Aiden Markram. Varun Chakraborty and Aiden Markram came face to face during the 12th over.
On the second ball of the over, Markram hit a 77-metre six off the Indian spinner and then hit another six over long-on.
Chakravarthy managed to make a good comeback as he bowled back-to-back dot balls before dismissing Aiden Markram for 29 runs on the sixth ball. After getting the wicket, the spinner became excited and gave a farewell to the batsman by abusing him.
