However, ahead of the Raipur ODI, a viral video of Kohli sparked fresh speculation about the atmosphere inside the Indian dressing room.
Virat Kohli-Pragyan Ojha airport moment fuels rumors ahead of Raipur ODI
Kohli was seen having an animated conversation with Indian selector Pragyan Ojha at the airport as they were traveling from Ranchi to Raipur.
In a video, Kohli was seen talking with a very serious expression, while Ojha listened to him attentively. Both were sitting together and just a few seats away, Indian team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir was also present. Rohit Sharma was sitting nearby at the airport.

After the serious moment between Kohli and Ojha went viral, fans immediately started speculating what the discussion could be about. The timing has been questioned due to ongoing reports of tension between Gambhir and senior players including Kohli and Rohit.

BCCI has planned an urgent meeting amid Gautam Gambhir’s rift with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma.
According to several media reports, the relationship between Gambhir and the senior stars is not as strong as it was when he first took over as the head coach. It is being said that Rohit’s removal from India’s ODI captaincy has created tension in the dressing room.
There is also confusion regarding the future of both Kohli and Rohit in ODI cricket, especially in view of the ICC World Cup 2027. The Indian cricket team management wants to introduce a change, but it seems to be creating some tension within the team. The BCCI is set to hold a special meeting in Raipur or Visakhapatnam to discuss the future of senior players.
Notably, Pragyan Ojha has recently joined the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee along with former fast bowler RP Singh. Ojha is currently with the Indian team for the ongoing home series against South Africa, while the other selectors are busy watching the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 matches.

Earlier, Kohli avoided joining India’s victory celebrations at the team hotel and even avoided Gambhir in the dressing room. The first video shows stand-in captain KL Rahul cutting a cake at the team hotel to celebrate India’s win in the first ODI.
Everyone around him was cheering and enjoying the moment. Then Kohli walked into the lobby, but he kept walking and went straight towards the lift.
However, the former Indian captain asked everyone to move together after clapping. Although some people called him out, he did not stop and surprised everyone.
