Sportstar reports, BCCI is considering an internal review meeting in Raipur

Earlier, Sportstar had reported that the BCCI is planning an internal meeting in Raipur. The report said that key officials including secretary Devjit Saikia, joint secretary Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar will attend the meeting.

There is growing speculation about scrutiny of India’s Test strategy and the changing dynamics between the team management and senior players. The Men in Blue recently suffered their second Test whitewash under Gautam Gambhir’s coaching tenure.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retired from T20Is and Tests and now play only ODI cricket. Both of them silenced the critics with their strong performance in the opening match of the series against South Africa.

Virat Kohli was chosen Player of the Match in Ranchi ODI

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli displayed brilliant batting in the packed stadium of Ranchi. After the early dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal, the senior pair made a partnership of 136 runs for the second wicket. Rohit scored 57 runs in 51 balls before getting out.

Virat Kohli scored 135 runs in 120 balls, which included 11 fours and seven sixes. This was his 52nd ODI century, making him the batsman with the most centuries in a single format. The Men in Blue scored 349 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs.

South Africa were reduced to 11/3 in front of the new ball. They were still struggling at 130/5, before Matthew Britzke and Marco Jansson put on a 97-run partnership. Corbin Bosch kept the chase going by scoring 67 runs, but India’s bowlers remained patient in the final overs and won by 17 runs.
