Rajasthan Royals (RR) have been making headlines for their demands on the Sanju Samson deal. First, they failed to seal a deal with Delhi Capitals (DC), and now they are in serious discussions with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the transfer of Sanju Samson.
CSK have reportedly agreed to transfer Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran to bring Samson on board before the November 15 retention deadline. But now the Royals have asked for Mathisha Pathirana to replace Curran and CSK has not yet responded to their latest demand.

Now it will be interesting to see whether the Royals will be successful in acquiring Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran or Mathisha Pathirana. Amidst the trade discussion, Rajasthan Royals shared a cryptic post on Instagram and wished Riyan Parag ‘Happy Birthday’.

Riyan Parag is celebrating his 24th birthday on November 10 and the Royals wished their young all-rounder through a bold post. The video seemed more like a big announcement post than a birthday, and the caption left everyone guessing. He shared a part of Parag’s interview.
The clip featured several pictures from the nets in the IPL 2025 season, where he also captained RR in a few matches, while Samson was recovering from injury, and was shown receiving his first cap from Virat Kohli. Additionally, some moments from Parag’s India activities.

But the interesting part was the Assam cricketer’s statement and RR’s caption. Ryan opened up about his approach and how success in sports comes from constant preparation and focus. Parag shared that he relies heavily on imagining different situations before stepping on the field, which helps him stay calm and confident during actual matches.
Riyan Parag said in a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on Instagram: “It’s a huge sacrifice, but then once you understand that, there’s a bigger goal at the end of the picture, and then it works out. You don’t know what’s going to come in the test, but you’re prepared.”

Sharing the clip where the franchise wished Parag a happy birthday at the end of the video, RR wrote in the caption, “I imagine a lot of things.” This led many to speculate that the Royals had given a big hint about Parag’s captaincy on his birthday.
Well, IPL teams have time till November 15 to submit the final list of their retained players. The auction for the upcoming season is expected to take place in mid-December, although the exact date has not been confirmed yet. Interestingly, the IPL 2026 auction is likely to be held in Dubai or Jeddah.
