Australian wicketkeeper Josh Inglis took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Team India all-rounder Shivam Dubey in the second T20I against Australia on Friday, October 31. The dismissal occurred during India’s innings in the second match of the ongoing five-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
Team India had a very bad start after being invited to bat first. Josh Hazlewood destroyed India’s top order with a brilliant spell with the new ball. The visiting team lost half its team for just 49 runs in 7.3 overs. Harshit Rana was promoted to the batting order ahead of Shubman Gill, surprising many.

Shivam Dubey’s stay at the crease ended as soon as it started. He hit a lucky four on his very first ball, but the very next ball became the reason for his downfall.
Xavier Bartlett got the extra bounce and movement, pulling Dube into a makeshift poke outside off. The edge flew to the left of Josh Inglis, who completed a brilliant diving catch. Dubey went back to the dressing room after scoring 4 runs in 2 balls, leaving India with seven wickets to fall.

India benefited from Harshit Rana’s promotion in the second T20 match.
Harshit Rana came to the crease earlier than expected, coming in at No. 7 ahead of Shivam Dubey. India suffered a top-order collapse, and Axar Patel was run out as the team struggled at 49/5 in the eighth over.
Dubey, known to be a reliable middle-order option in T20Is, was surprisingly stopped. Rana, who was listed at No. 6 in both matches of the series and did not bat in the rain-affected opener in Canberra, was promoted to the crucial contest.
The move paid off as Rana withstood the pressure and played a vital role. He scored 35 runs off 33 balls, which included three fours and a six, as India were bowled out for 125 in 20 overs.
Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana shine, but Australia maintain a strong hold in the second T20 match
Australia put India into bat in the second T20I, with the visitors relying largely on Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana to provide resistance. Abhishek played a stormy innings of 68 runs in 37 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes, while India’s top order faltered with many batsmen getting out on single-digit scores.
Josh Hazlewood led Australia’s bowling attack with 3 for 13, dismissing Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. Nathan Ellis and Xavier Bartlett made important contributions by dismissing Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey, as India were bundled out for 125 in 18.4 overs.
The first match of the series in Canberra was abandoned due to rain on Wednesday. The two sides will meet again for the third T20I in Hobart on Sunday, November 2.
