Shreyas Iyer said that he will take care of himself – Suryakumar Yadav
India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav gave a positive update on Shreyas Iyer’s health during a press conference in Canberra ahead of the T20I series against Australia. Suryakumar said that Iyer has been responding to messages for the last two days.
“We spoke to him at least on the first day when we found out he was injured. I called him first. Then I realized he didn’t have a phone. So I called the physio, Kamlesh. He told me he was stable. On the first day, I don’t know how, but he was looking good. We have been talking for two days. He is responding. If he is responding on the phone, it means he is stable.”
It is expected that the batsman will be out of the field for at least two to three months and will not be able to play in the home ODI series against the South Africa national cricket team.
