Indian left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly informed the Mumbai Cricket Association about his availability for the next Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan. He is making a much-awaited comeback ahead of the South Africa Test series.
Mumbai Cricket Association has already played two matches of the first two rounds of Ranji Trophy. In the first game, Mumbai’s batsmen and then bowlers dominated and they started their campaign with a win against Jammu and Kashmir.
Mumbai faced Chhattisgarh in the second match of this year’s Ranji Trophy as Ajinkya Rahane led the Mumbai batsmen with a brilliant inning of 159 runs. Shams Mulani took 9 wickets in the first game and top scored for Mumbai with 91 and 41 in both the innings.

The left-handed batsman has played for India in the longest format of the game. Yashasvi Jaiswal has performed brilliantly for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy since his debut. The Indian opener last played for India in the home series against West Indies.
Coming back from the Australia tour, since he has not been selected in the T20I squad, Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly informed the Mumbai Cricket Association about his return to the Mumbai team for the next Ranji Trophy game against Rajasthan.

Jaiswal will play Ranji Trophy for Mumbai
He will probably use his next match against Rajasthan as his practice match before India’s next match in the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa in November. He scored 219 runs in his last three innings for India and batted at an impressive average of 73.
With about 18 more days left before India begin their home campaign against South Africa, a report in the Indian Express has confirmed that the youngster could feature for Mumbai in the Group D match against Rajasthan.
He missed the first two matches against Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh in the initial round of Ranji Trophy. In his first-class career, he has scored 4301 runs at an average of 55.85 after playing 44 matches.
The batsman scored 15 first-class centuries with 16 half-centuries, with a highest individual score of 265.
Yashasvi Jaiswal did not play a single match in Australia ODI
Yashasvi Jaiswal traveled to Australia for the three-match ODI series for India. He was given a place in the ODI team; However, he was not named in the playing eleven, as veteran Rohit Sharma and captain Shubman Gill could not be replaced at the top.
Jaiswal was spotted at India’s practice sessions behind the nets and was seen having an in-depth conversation with the Indian coaches and selectors. Despite all this, he was neither offered a place nor would he be in doubt to play for South Africa in ODIs.
