Mitchell Starc took a brilliant juggling catch near the boundary to dismiss the well-set Axar Patel in the ongoing second ODI between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday (October 23).
The Indian all-rounder was well set and was batting on 44 off 40 balls when Adam Zampa came in to bowl the 45th over of the innings. With only a few overs left in the innings, Axar Patel decided to hit a big shot on the very first ball of the over.

This was a ball bowled outside the off stump by the Australian spin bowler. The leg spinner invited Akshar to hit a big shot and Akshar obliged. However, Akshar could not cross the boundary and lost his wicket.
Mitchell Starc ends Axar Patel’s brilliant innings:
Akshar got under the ball and lofted it towards long off where Mitchell Starc was positioned. At first it seemed that the ball would go over the head of the Australian fast bowler. However, Mitchell Starc had other ideas.
He kept his eyes on the ball while trailing before catching it while on the side-on. The momentum took him beyond the boundary line but before that, he cleverly lofted the ball up. Starc then regained his control and moved back inside the field of play to complete a brilliant catch.
