Rishabh Pant officially named India’s red-ball captain for South Africa series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has named the India ‘A’ squad for the upcoming two-match red-ball series against South Africa ‘A’ at home. Team India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who has been out of action since the England tour, will lead the team in the first two matches of the main series.

India ‘A’ will host South Africa ‘A’ in a red-ball and white-ball series starting later this month. The upcoming tour will begin with two four-day unofficial Tests at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. After the four-day matches, both the teams will go to Rajkot for a three-match one-day series.
