David Johnson has played 2 test matches
52-year-old David Johnson, who played two Tests for India in 1996, died after falling from the fourth floor balcony of his apartment here. Local police have said that investigation is underway to find out whether it was a case of suicide. He is survived by his wife and two children. Johnson was running a cricket academy near his house but was unwell for some time.
Kumble was included in the bowling unit along with Srinath and Prasad.
Karnataka Cricket Association official said, ‘We were told that David Johnson had fallen from the fourth floor of his apartment. He was taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. He played a total of 39 first-class matches. He was part of Karnataka’s strong bowling unit which included Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad and Doda Ganesh.

India has lost its 3 wickets for 62 runs against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have returned to the pavilion. Rohit was out after scoring 8 runs while Virat contributed 24 runs. Pant went on after scoring 20 runs.
