Kerala on top as Maharashtra batsmen faltered early
Kerala’s bowling attack took full advantage of the morning conditions and exploited both pace and movement on the surface. Tulsi’s tireless accuracy and MD NidishThe ability to attack in the right field kept Maharashtra under constant pressure. In the first hour, the visiting team was reduced to 5 wickets for 53 runs in 17 overs.
Nidhish emerged as the standout performer by taking three important wickets, while Basil took two important wickets. Maharashtra’s top order had to struggle against the disciplined fast bowlers of Kerala.
At the end of 19 overs, Maharashtra was in deep trouble at 54 runs for 5 wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad Batting at 16 and over Jalaj Saxena (21*) Trying to stabilize the innings. The pair will need to build a strong partnership to take their team towards a respectable score.
This strong start for Kerala has set the tone for the rest of the match. The home team will aim to capitalize on their early successes and restrict Maharashtra to modest first innings scores. A few more quick wickets could swing the game decisively in their favour.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra would be hoping for a revival led by its experienced campaigners. With conditions still providing movement for the fast bowlers, patience and application will be key for the batsmen if they want to remain in the contest.
