Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he is one of the most lethal bowlers in world cricket as the Indian pacer burst onto the scene in the post-lunch session to break West Indies’ stubborn ninth-wicket partnership between Khary Pierre and Anderson Phillip in the ongoing second Test in Delhi.
After West Indies halted India’s morning attack with a strong partnership of 42 runs, Jasprit Bumrah wasted no time in sending Khary Pierre back to the pavilion shortly after the lunch break. Pierre fought hard and frustrated the Indian bowlers with solid defense and a few fours.
Jasprit Bumrah ends tailenders’ resistance with a precise delivery
Indian captain Shubman Gill handed the ball to Bumrah to start the post-lunch session and the bowler did not disappoint the team. After being hit for a boundary by Pierre at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Bumrah clean bowled the West Indies bowler for 23 runs off 46 balls.

Bumrah bowled an excellent ball around the off stump, which got rapid reverse swing, which hit the bat and hit the off stump. This breakthrough ended the 42-run resistance by the tailenders and gave India a perfect opportunity to enforce the follow-on.
