
In a historic moment for Indian cricket, Gemini ManhasFormer Delhi captain and veteran batsman, Sunday, was unanimously elected as the chairman of the control board of Cricket for India (BCCI) during a board’s annual general meeting in Mumbai on Sunday, September 28, 2025. In the history of the board, with the 37th President, Manhas, Roger Binni and Binni, who includes Soriv Ganguly and Binni for Soriv Ganguly and Binni.

Immediately after assuming the charge, Manhas underlined his ambitions:
“This is a full honor to be the chairman of the world’s best cricketing board. I assure India’s cricketing fraternity that I will dedicate my abilities, passion and vision for the development of sports at all levels.”
His agenda highlights investment in cricket, systematic talent scouting and broad regional engagement at the ground level. This approach is echoed with both state associations and fans, which are eager to see deep pipelines of talent across the country.
