Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who finally finished their long wait for the IPL title earlier this year, are already focusing in the next season. A few months away with the IPL mini auction, the franchise management has started preparing to collect a strong squad to protect its title.
Bangalore -based franchise was the best season in IPL 2025. He won his first title with a win over Punjab Kings (PBK) in the final clash, where he won six runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both batsmen and bowlers entered the entire tournament.
RCB has started preparations for IPL 2026 before mini auction
Royal Challengers Bangalore have started their preparations for the next IPL season. In a post shared by the franchise on social media, head coach Andy Flower, Director of Cricket Mo Bobat, Chairman Pratmesh Mishra and Vice President Rajesh V Menon were seen together.

The meeting is held in London. Bobat is also involved with the spirit of London of Laug. The presence of Virat Kohli in planning cannot be ruled out.
Kohli is a major player of the franchise and has spent his entire IPL career with RCB. He lives in London and was recently seen there with his wife Anushka Sharma. The Star Batter has been maintained by the franchise for ₹ 21 crore by 2027.
Virat Kohli instrument in RCB’s first IPL title Triumph
Virat Kohli played an important role in the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s first IPL title Triumph in 2025. He is known as the backbone of the franchise’s batting lineup, once again a great season.
Star Batter was RCB’s top run-scorer, with a strike rate of 144.71 with 657 runs in 15 innings and eight half-centuries on an average of 54.75.
Kohli also contributed significantly to the finals. The right -handed batsman scored 43 runs off 35 balls to help Bangalore Post 190/9. His bowlers then limited Punjab Kings to 184/7, leading to a historic victory.
It has been a part of the franchise since the inaugural IPL in 2008. The batsman has scored 8,661 runs in 267 matches at an average of 39.55 and with a strike rate of 132.86, eight hundreds and 63 fifty. He is the RCB and the all-time highest run-goldter of the tournament.
RCB ends 18 years of waiting for IPL title
Royal Challengers Bangalore ended their 18 -year wait for the IPL title in 2025. He has been part of the league since his inaugural season in 2008. The team reached the finals in 2009, 2011 and 2016, but never won the trophy.
The RCB rushed to the playoffs (2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024), but decreased from the final. The team finished second in the points table during IPL 2025, scoring nine out of 14 matches and scored 19 points.
RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBK) by eight wickets in the first qualifier and then defeated the same team by six runs in the final to claim their first IPL title. The new captain Rajat Patidar became the first RCB captain to lead the team to the championship Gaurav.
