27-year-old Pakistan National Cricket leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed sent the premiere Sri Lanka National Cricket Team Spin-Bauling all-rounder Vanindu Hasranga a cheap after rejecting him.

Speaking first in the toss, Pakistan captain, Salman Aga said that Sri Lanka is a good side and he would like to do well against him. He said:
“We will bowl first. It seems a good wicket, don’t think it will change a lot. I think we started well (against India), but then the tempo shifted .. They are a good side, we are a good side. We don’t think about the past, we need to focus on today. We need to focus on today. We have an unchanged side today.”
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan captain Charith Asanka said that he does not mind batting first and insists that he is playing good cricket. He said:
