Fakhar Zaman gets an opportunity to open to Pakistan
The Pakistan National Cricket Team has been terrible with the bat in the entire Asia Cup 2025, and for a high-profile match against the India National cricket team, they decided to change their batting order.
Fakhar Zaman was sent to the Dubai International Stadium to open an innings with Sahibzada Farhan, and Sam Ayub, who received three consecutive ducks in the last three matches, was given at number 3.
Veteran left -handed batsman Fakhar came out blazing all guns and played an attacker brand of cricket from the very beginning.
He took the Indian bowlers to the cleaner and saw ready for a big score. However, his innings was reduced by all -rounder Hardik Pandya in the third over.
On the third ball of the over, Hardik Pandya bowled an off-cut at the length and Fakhar Zaman left it behind the keeper Sanju Samson, who took a great low catch.
It was seen at first glance, but on the replay, it seemed like a difficult call. The third umpire saw several replements, and after that, they came to know that the ball was taken clearly.
Fakhar Zaman looked confused, as displayed on the big screen, and he was attached at the same time. He was seen expressing his anger on the field. Veteran left -handed batsmen, who scored 15 off 9 balls, were also seen complaining to the coach while climbing the stairs, and the coach threw his hands as he could not believe the decision.

Meanwhile, commenting with Ravi Shastri, former Pesar Waqar Younis said the third umpire took a wrong decision. He said:
“I am not sure this ball is taken. It seems that the ball jumps just before the glove.”
Pakistan’s batting is to be revealed – Akash Chopra
Speaking on ESPNCRICINFO before the match, former India opener Akash Chopra said that the pathetic Pakistan batting unit needs to be set on fire if they want to give themselves a chance against men in blue. He explained in detail:
“Okay, I think Pakistan’s batting is to be revealed. If the batsmen can stand and count because there is something that happened. They were almost upset in the previous game vs UAE, where Shaheen Afridi saved him from the blush with the bat. So, if the same happens, it is a top.
“If you are against the quality of Indian bowlers, then do not expect that game against India, it was also Shaheen who took them to 127. Otherwise, it would have been 101 or 105 which was not enough anyway. Therefore, their batsmen will have to put their hands on whether it is Mohammad Haris or stunning zaming, which I think I will tell them.”
