India National Cricket Team T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has promised a super Sunday to fans a day before the Asia Cup 2025 match against the Pakistan National Cricket Team.
In the Super Four Stage, India and Pakistan will close the horns with each other for the second time in the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium on 21 September.
India destroyed Pakistan in group stage
The first India vs Pakistan clash was held at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 14, after the Pahgam terror attack and operation vermilion.
It was expected to be an exciting competition, but Pakistan looked very weak while facing India, and was destroyed by Suryakumar Yadav & Co..
The only thing that went in the way of Pakistan was the toss, as they won it and opted to bat first. Salman Aga’s team posted only 127/9 on the board, that too due to Shaheen Afridi’s order of fireworks.
Chasing the target, explosive India opener Abhishek Sharma played with the Pakistan bowling unit and played a surprising knock. Although India lost three wickets, they were always under control and eventually won the match by 7 wickets with 25 balls.

Suryakumar Yadav attended the press conference, where he was asked about the ceremony across India after the last game against Pakistan.
He replied that people were celebrating as they won and urged Indian fans to enjoy a Sunday match against men in Green.
He said, “We won, that’s why they are celebrating. I mean, just as the country always supports us in every game, they should support us in this game too. And this is Sunday, so I think more people will watch the match,” he said, as Cricbaz quoted.
“So sit comfortably and enjoy the game. And when we go to the ground, we will try to play with the same intensity with the same energy. And we always try to keep our game ahead. And we will try the same in the whole field.”

Suryakumar Yadav was further asked whether the current rivalry between India and Pakistan is equally intense in the 2000s. “We have played three games. We have enjoyed winning all three games as much as we enjoyed winning the first game. So I think every game is a new challenge. We take it in the structure and it feels good. We win and learn something from it and try to do it in the next game.”
