In an important development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent a second letter of protest against the match referee Andy Picroft to the International Cricket Council (ICC). According to a report by Cricbuzz, the board sent a letter on Tuesday night, which was a few hours before Pakistan’s struggle against the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. The meeting was immediately called to address the matter.
In early Wednesday, reports revealed that the ICC decided to keep Picroft involved in the Asia Cup, but agreed that it would not reveal Pakistan’s struggle with the UAE. Richie Richardson was appointed as a referee for the Dubai match, while Picroft is part of the tournament.
