He hit Shaheen Shah Afridi on the first ball by jumping down from the pitch – Akash Chopra
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Akash Chopra highlighted how Abhishek Sharma attacked Shaheen Afridi and appreciated him for playing the staller ultra-aggressive cricket despite the situation.
“He jumped down from the pitch and hit Shaheen Shah Afridi on the first ball. He said.
“He has not played for a long time, scored 30-year-old runs in the last two matches, but when he scores, he jerks everyone. He makes the match unilateral in one stroke. Whether he is chasing 50 or 200, or batting first, he does bats in the same fashion, and he said Chopra.”
Statistics are incredible – Akash Chopra
Akash Chopra further dug up some data and discovered that Abhishek Sharma has the best strike rate among all T20I openers who have played at least 100 balls since their start, and followed by Travis Head, Sanju Samson, Phil Salet and Yashsvi Jaywal.
“Statistics are incredible. Stop their breath, they (approx) have a strike rate of 200. They have hit two centuries, one of which has come against England, and two half -centuries. He is incredible. He has scored continuously at a strike rate of 200, and we are not talking about weak teams. He has played some decent protests and his sports style has not changed against him.
“Travis Head is in second place. He has played eight games. He has an average of 26 and 194 strike rates. He has not created a century, and the sample size is half, but the way the Travis Head plays. He keeps beating.”
