Former India cricketer Nikhil Chopra has raised eyebrows in the Asia Cup 2025 with his bold statement in front of the much awaited India vs. Pakistan Clash, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 14 September at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Chopra has reported that the current team of Pakistan does not enjoy the same recognition or popularity among fans as mythological aspects of the 1990s. He also said that even dye-hard T20 cricket fans can find it difficult to name top players of Pakistan today.

Nikhil Chopra said on NDTV: “There is no disrespect in Pakistan’s favor, but if you see their team and ask any child to name any child on the streets to name their top three or top four players, then some of these children, even dye-hard cricket fans who follow the T20 format, will not know about those people.
He added, “The difference is, when you see 11 or you see 15 for India, match winners, experienced players and world-beat stars. Indian team, whether you watch it from the IPL perspective or in the context of T20 performances, pile up with talent.

Meanwhile, Chopra also reported that dew can play an important role in the struggle of India vs Pakistan on Sunday.
