The promotion and regulation of the online gaming bill was approved by the President on Friday. There is complete ban on fantasy sports operators and other real-mani gaming platforms in India or advertising in India. Dream11 has closed its cash-based competitions in the country after the new law.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that it is very early to comment on the situation. He said that the Act would apply only after an official notification is issued, and if it is before the Asia Cup, the board will then decide its next step.
Saikia told Hindustan Times, “It is ahead of time to comment on what will happen. The legal status is that there will be a notification on which date the Act will apply. If it is before the Asia Cup, we have to take the next course of action,” Saikia told Hindustan Times.
Dream Sports ICC T20 World Cup can maintain BCCI deal by 2026
Dream Sports may still continue its agreement with the BCCI, which extends to the 2026 Home T20 World Cup. The company owns other undertakings including a luxury sports travel brand, which can step as an alternative to Dream 11.
