The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named the 15-member team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which is scheduled to begin on 9 September. The BCCI men selection committee headed by Ajit Agkar revealed the Asia Cup 2025 squad on Tuesday, August 19. Suryakumar Yadav will captain men after recovering from the game hernia surgery. Senior players Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya will provide experienced assistance to the team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, and Prasad Krishna were released from the Asia Cup 2025 squad of India
Jasprit Bumrah And Jeetesh Sharma, who last painted in T20I in January 2024, returned to the squad. Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer were released. Fast bowlers Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj, and IPL 2025 Purple Cap winner Yachma Krishna were also released by the selection committee.
India will open its campaign against UAE on 9 September. They will face Pakistan on 14 September and conclude the group stage against Oman on 19 September. In India and Sri Lanka, six months remained till the next T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format.
BCCI is the host of the program, but will be held at a neutral site in the United Arab Emirates. A total of eight teams, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman, will compete for the trophy.
