Former cricketers, fans and experts have once again joined the army and are targeting coaches for the team’s struggles along with the players.
Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar did not direct his criticism towards the players; Instead, he attacked the newly appointed white-ball head coach Mike Hessen. Akhar said (as cricket is quoted by Pakistan):
“Mike Hessen is a good T20 coach, but I don’t know what qualities he has for ODI. In this format, if you don’t play quality players, it is what will happen.”

This is the result of poor policies, not the fault of the players – Shoaib Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar said that Pakistan’s poor performances are “results of poor policies” and players cannot be held responsible for this.
In addition, Shoaib Akhtar clearly stated that the batsmen of the Pakistan National Cricket Team are not enough to deal with the bowling -friendly conditions.
“You will not get 50 overs completely until you set up all-rounders, batsmen, bowlers and spinners. You can only scrape this format. This is the result of poor policies, not the fault of the players.”
“Your players will always be exposed on the seaming tracks. Now this reconstruction process is given a new name, which is making a combination. Venus Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc were not here. Wherever such situations exist, our players will be exposed,” Akhtar concluded.
Pakistan lost third ODI by 202 runs to lose Series 1-2
Mohammad Rizwan -led side won the first ODE game of the series by 5 wickets, before losing by 5 wickets with 10 balls from the next match.
He saved his “worst” for the final match of the tour at Brian Lara Stadium, Taraba, Trinidad. Bowling first, Pakistan allowed the West Indies to record a big score of 294/6 as the bowlers were unable to include the host’s batting unit.
When it was his turn to chase, a classic Pakistan batting performance was seen as he lost wickets at regular intervals and went out for 92 runs, giving the West Indies a big win by 202 runs.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan was unhappy with the bowlers’ performance as he felt that he had allowed the West Indies to make a huge score. He said:
“We understood that this was the third game that was played in four innings on this deck. The speed has removed it in the last 10 overs because we were at the top for the first 40 overs. We felt that 220 is worth chasable here. Credit goes to them.”
