India’s champion has pulled out its high-voltage semi-final struggle in the World Championship against Pakistan in Legends 2025 (WCL 2025). India’s champions are set to face the Pakistan Champion in the first semi -final of WCL 2025 in Edgbaston, Birmingham on 31 July.
But the latest reports show that India Champion vs. Pakistan Champion semi -final clash is not happening, such as Legends in England, like his previous group match in the ongoing World Championship of 2025.
India’s champion boycott 2025 semi -finals against Pakistan
It is being said that the Indian icon had clarified its stand ahead of the knockout round that they would take the field against Pakistan under any circumstances due to the increased military tension between the two countries after the terrorist attack on Pahgam earlier this year.

Sources were told by IANS, “Indian players have refused to play against Pakistan in the WCL semi -finals set for Thursday.” PTI quoted another source as saying, “Retired international players representing India Champion have refused to play against the Pakistan Champion in the semi -finals of the World Championship of Legends in Birmingham.”
Earlier, the travel company Easemytrip withdrew from sponsoring the semi-final match between India Champion and Pakistan Champion at the Legends World Championship. The company said that they are following their policy of not supporting any incident that facilitates Pakistan.

Easemytrip CEO and co-founder Nishant Pitti said in a statement, “We appreciate Team India @India_Champions for his outstanding performance in the legend’s World Championship;
Pitti further emphasized, “@eesemytrip, we are standing with India. We cannot support any event that tries to normalize relations with the country that promotes terrorism. The people of India have talked, and we listen to them. Easemytrip WCL will not listen to India vs. Pakistan match. Later, some things are big.
Easemytrip signed a five -year deal with the World Championship of Legends as a top sponsor, but it made its stand from the beginning that they would not support any sport against Pakistan. The company said that it continues to support the India Champions team, but it will not participate in any game with Pakistan or is firm on its policy.

Earlier in WCL 2025, the league match between India and Pakistan was canceled after a strong protest against Indian players and a lead sponsor. Former cricketers like Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan publicly refused to play with Pakistan, and the match was closed.
The champion of India has made a difficult journey so far. He started with a major loss of 88 runs for South Africa (under DRS method), then suffered two more defeats against Australia and England. His only point was from the abandoned match against Pakistan before winning the game against the West Indies.
